Hello friend,
I’m writing to you today because I have been where you are. I have been in a season of loneliness. I have been loved and still felt alone. I have been around people and still felt unseen.
I have tried to stand out and still, somehow, gone unnoticed. I promise, this won’t last forever. Just like the cold of the winter gives way to a beautiful spring, this will also turn into something new. One day you will wake up in a completely different mood, the world will seem brighter, people will be more open, and the feelings of being alone in the world will fade.
You will connect with a new coworker, chat with someone in line at your local coffee shop, a friend will reach out to say hi, and the clouds will lift. Please don’t give up hope. Please know that while we all feel lonely sometimes, you are never truly alone.
I know it’s hard, but ask for help, lean on your people, find new experiences, explore the world around you with a different set of eyes, look at things with wonder, and watch your perspective start to change. You are here because we need you. We need what only you have to offer.
And while I understand that putting yourself out there can be scary, I know you can do it. I believe in you, your heart, your strength, your resilience, your courage, and your ability to do hard things. So whenever you are feeling lost and lonely, know that you are not. Because I am always right here with you and together, we can find our way.
Much love.
